Confortable US, canyon and cactus
The parks of the West represent the greatness of the United States and one of the symbols of the cohesion of the American people. They are kept wonderfully, watched over and cared for like a child, loved by everyone, not just by the Americans. They are, clearly, very well organized. At the entrance to each park there are the visitar centers for those who needs information, orientation maps and all the useful tools for the visit. The rangers are very kind, they advise and help. They however blocked, become very severe. From Las Vegas there are tours of all kinds and for all budgets that allow you to visit the American national parks. With Francesco and Eleonora we decided for a five-night tour that included a good set of parks, including the Grand Canyon, the Zion, the marvelous Monument Valley and more. As I said before, I do not like guided tours and depersonalization of the journey, but the distances between one park and the other are such that I easily convinced myself.
Three are the parks in my opinion unforgettable and, curiously, also comfortable .
-Bryce Canyon, no place in the world is like this. The Hoodoons (pinnacles, produced by rock erosion) in incredible quantities are only found here. And the colors ranging from orange to white are surreal. Furthermore, exploring it requires no physical prowess. You can easily get inside and admire it.
-Monument Valley.Terra sacred to the Indians, you perceive something that goes beyond beauty, it is a spiritual place. Its red color and its immense spaces make it a strong impact and unforgettable. We crossed it comfortably with jeeps led by the heirs of the Navajo Indians. We are indeed in Indian territory. And we’re tourists, so the Indians simulate Indian behavior. They take us to a tent where an old Indian welcomes us and makes us taste a warm muffin. But the guys have fun like crazy! It is comfortable and very nice to sleep in the only hotel inside the park, The View Hotel. Seeing dawn in this place is an experience that I certainly know that I will repeat as soon as possible. ——_Saguaro National Park. In the Saguaro National Park we come across the incredible saguaro cacti that exceed ten meters in height. They are one of the most celebrated symbols of the West, and they are what we have learned to recognize in the countless westerns seen as children. It is today a protected area that is about twenty kilometers from Tucson and is part of the Sonora desert. The landscape admirably crosses the two hundred kilometers of paths and crossings that allow you to enter into communion with an unforgettable place.
